how to look great without breaking the bank

everyone always associates dressing well with spending a lot of money to do so. but this is not the case. there are many ways to look great and spend a minimal amount of money.

ebay: yes the clothing is used, yes you have to outbid people for it, yes it may take some time to find great items at great prices. however, if you put in the time you can get great stuff. when using ebay make sure you take full advantage of the site: use the filters on the left hand side of the screen, know your measurements cause the good sellers list the measurements of their garments, watch multiple items so you have options if the bidding gets intense, check ebay daily...new items pop up all the time and this also allows you to keep an eye your current watched items.

thrift stores: yes the clothing is used, yes it will take time to find great items. the best way to thrift is to find several thrift stores around town and designate one day a week to visit all of them. look through all of the items on the racks, you never know what you may find. this does take time, but patience is a virtue when it comes to thrifting. make sure you try everything on (most stores have strict return policies or no returns allowed).

outlet/factory stores: yes its last seasons clothing. it may even be a knock off of what the actual store sells. to be honest, most people are not going to know that the shirt you are wearing is from last season. the clothes are set at lower price points, yet the items are of the same quality. the outlet/factory stores generally have out more coupons than the actual store, so you can save even more money.

these are only 3 of the many options you have for saving money while still dressing to impress. there are a few things to still keep in mind. really look at what you are considering buying...is it worth the price? many times we fall into the trap of, its on sale/its used so it is automatically a great deal. this is not always true. look at the fabrics it is made of, check the item for any damages (even the minute ones), do your research and see what it originally cost, lastly consider how many times you are going to wear it and break it down by cost per wear. i did not go into a great depth of detail, but i just wanted to give an intro to beginning your transformation into a well dressed person while maintaining a hefty bank account.

HAPPY SHOPPING!
